The Holy Qur'an
Surah
75:20-21 (Part 4)
1.
I do call to witness the Resurrection Day;
2. And I do call to witness the self-reproaching
Spirit.
3. Does man think that We cannot assemble his
bones?
4. Nay, We are able to put together in perfect
order, the very tip of
his fingers.
5. But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time
in front of him.
6. He questions: "When is the Day of
Resurrection?"
7. At length, when the sight is dazed
8. And the moon is buried in darkness
9. And the sun and moon are joined together that
Day will Man say;
10. "Where is the refuge?"
11. By no means! No place of safety!"
12. Before the Lord (alone), that Day will be the place of
rest.
13. That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and
all that he put back.
14. Nay, man will be evidence against himself,
15. Even though he were to make excuses.
16. Move not thy tongue concerning the (Qur'an), to make
haste therewith.
17. It is for Us to collect it and to promulgate it:
18. But when We have promulgated it, follow thou its
recital:
19. Nay more, it is for Us to explain it:
20.
Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life,
21.
And leave alone the Hereafter.
22. Some faces, that Day, will beam (in brightness and
beauty) -
23. Looking towards their Lord;
24. And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal,
25. In the thought that some backbreaking calamity was about
to be inflicted on them;
26. Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collarbone (in its
exit),
27. And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to
restore him)?"
28. And he will conclude that it was (the Time) of Parting;
29. And one leg will be joined with another:
30. The Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord!
31. So he gave nothing in charity, nor did he pray! -
32. But on the contrary, he rejected Truth and turned away!
33. Then did he stalk to his family in full conceit!
34. Woe to thee, (O man!), yea, woe!
35. Again, woe to thee, (O man!), yea, woe!
36. Does Man think that he will be left uncontrolled, (without purpose)?
37. Was he not a drop of sperm emitted (in lowly form)?
38. Then did he become a clinging clot;
Then did (Allah) make and fashion
(him) in due proportion.
39. And of him He made two sexes, male and female.
40. Has not he, (the same), the power to give life to the dead?

"But When They See The Path Of Straying They Will Adopt It As Their Path."

Many members of the Sikh community mourned the dead in Kashmir BBC
I will divert from My revelations,
Those who are arrogant on earth without justification.
Consequently, when they see every kind of proof they will not believe.
And when they see the path of guidance they will not adopt it as their
path,
But when they see the path of straying they will adopt it as their path.
This is the consequence of their rejecting our proofs,
And being totally heedless thereof.

"Russia takes offensive in Chechnya
Risking new conflict, Moscow targets Chechen gunmen
MOSCOW, July 7 - Almost three years after being driven out of
Chechnya, Russia is going on the offensive along its border with the
breakaway region, using pre-emptive strikes to fight Chechen gunmen
despite risks the attacks could lead to a major new conflict. One of the
Russian government's main goals is to quell soaring violence and crime
in the northern Caucasus, particularly the hundreds of kidnappings in
recent years by Chechen gangs. . . .Moscow is also reacting to the threat
to its control of other Muslim republics in the region. Pro-independence
Islamic groups, aided by Chechen fundamentalists, have staged attacks on
Russian forces.
The northern Caucasus is an intricate web of tribal, ethnic and
religious animosities reaching back centuries. Moscow's hold on the poor
mountainous region on its southern border, never strong, is slipping at a
time when Russia's economy and military are in shambles. . . .Chechen
President Aslan Maskhadov, who wants to improve relations with Moscow, is
under strong pressure from Chechen Islamic radicals, who command large
forces and oppose any deal with Russia. Maskhadov has little authority in
the lawless republic and there have been several attempts on his
life."

"Gunmen kill 5 Shiite Muslims in fresh violence
LAHORE, Pakistan (AP) - Gunmen shot
and killed five Shiite Muslims Saturday in the latest round of sectarian
bloodletting terrorizing Pakistan's populous Punjab province.
Pir Sahaba Sultan, a prominent Shiite
Muslim, and his four supporters were attacked by gunmen on two motorcycles
outside his home in Shor Kot, about 95 miles southeast of the Punjab
capital of Lahore, police said. All five apparently died immediately. . .
.
Earlier this month, 18 Shiite Muslim
worshipers were gunned down in the Punjab province by militant Sunni
Muslims. Police have made no arrests in connection with those killings. .
. .
"We will be forced to take up
arms and we will avenge their deaths ourselves," warned Taqi Shah, a
spokesman for the Shiite Muslim group. He also urged the Punjab provincial
government to call in the army to protect Shiite Muslims."

"Al-Badr
has said it is not associated with Osama bin Laden, the alleged terrorist
mastermind named as the prime suspect in the attacks on the World Trade
Center and the Pentagon.
The group does
share a similar ideology.
"Islam
must rule the world and until Islam does rule the world we will continue
to sacrifice our lives," Al-Badr spokesman Mustaq Aksari told CNN in
an interview four months ago.
He said the
group recruits fighters from around the world, including the United
States.
Some of the
men fought in the Afghan civil war or in the Islamic insurgency to end
Indian rule in the state of Kashmir.
Former
militant Liaqat Ali said he trained for six months at a similar camp in
Afghanistan in the early 1990's. He said each day started and ended with
prayers.
"They
used to tell us America is a devil for Islam and we need to crush
America," Ali said. "You know to play with one's religious
emotions and that's it. If you do that, you are there, you can do
anything. It's a human bomb available."
Ali said he
fought in the Afghan civil war in 1992 and then returned to Kashmir and
joined the fight against Indian troops.
He surrendered
in 1994 and has been collaborating with Indian authorities. He said he
turned against his former partners because they were only spreading hate
and terror.
"Killing
5,000, 6,000 people in America and we lost so many people, thousands of
them in Kashmir," Ali said. "It's all disturbing." . .
.
Ali said he
believes the United States must strike the training camps if it hopes to
win the war on terrorism.
"If you
don't hit terrorist camps, if you don't control those countries which are
harboring terrorists," Ali said, "you are going to have lots and
lots of terrorists over the world." "
