"The Sahasrara Chakra

The seventh center (Sahasrara) is the chakra which integrates all the chakras with their respective qualities. It is the last milestone of the evolution of human awareness. Nowadays, we are at a level which corresponds to this chakra, and our consciousness is able to easily enter into this new realm of perception, which is beyond our limited mind and concepts, and which becomes absolute at the level of the Sahasrara. It is the direct, absolute perception of Reality on our central nervous system. This is precisely what is achieved through the Self-Realization, through the spontaneous awakening of the Kundalini given by Sahaja Yoga."
                                                                           

"Nicodemus visits Jesus in the night. Jesus reveals to him the meaning of the new birth and the kingdom of heaven.

1 Nicodemus was a ruler of the Jews, and he was earnest, learned and devout.
2 He saw the master's signet in the face of Jesus as he talked, but was not brave enough to publicly confess his faith in him;
3 So in the night he went to talk with Jesus at the home of Jude.
4 When Jesus saw him come he said, Full blessed are the pure in heart;
5 Twice blessed are the fearless, pure in heart;
6 Thrice blessed are the fearless, pure in heart who dare to make confession of their faith before the highest courts.
7 And Nicodemus said, Hail, master, hail! I know you are a teacher come from God, for man alone could never teach as you have taught; could never do the works that you have done.
8 And Jesus said, Except a man be born again he cannot see the king; he cannot comprehend the words I speak.
9 And Nicodemus said, How can a man be born again? Can he go back into the womb and come again to life?
10 And Jesus said, The birth of which I speak is not the birth of flesh.
11 Except a man be born of water and the Holy Breath, he cannot come into the kingdom of the Holy One.
12 That which is born of flesh is child of man; that which is born of Holy Breath is child of God.
13 The winds blow where they please; men hear their voices, and may note results; but they know not from whence they come, nor where they go; and so is every one that is born of Holy Breath.
14 The ruler said, I do not understand; pray tell me plainly what you mean.
15 And Jesus said, The kingdom of the Holy One is in the soul; men cannot see it with their carnal eyes; with all their reasoning powers they comprehend it not.
16 It is a life deep hid in God; its recognition is the work of inner consciousness."       
                                                                           

"Also called the "Crown Chakra or Mystic Chakra" the seventh Chakra, which is located at the top of the head, is light years beyond the lower Chakras. The true nature of the seventh Chakra is beyond human comprehension. The advice of all teachers on the kundalini path, is not to ever try to push oneself into seventh Chakra consciousness. This experience will come, when one's nervous system is fully prepared for such infinite realization and union with the creative force of the universe.

However, in regular kundalini meditation, it is important to focus one's attention for at least short periods directly to this center so that one's energetic system can balance itself and you can open, to the inflow of energy from above. There should be no inhibition regarding direct focusing on the seventh Chakra. As long as one don't use special techniques for over stimulating this Chakra, a regular and quite natural inflow of white-light energy and insight can be received.

The sahasrara Chakra controls the pineal gland in the brain. Medicine claims that this mysterious gland is defunct. But Yogis for thousands of years have come to know intimately from the inside out that the pineal gland is awakened through kundalini energy and begins secreting only when we become spiritually awakened. In fact, bio-chemically, it is possible to talk about enlightenment as a state where the pineal gland is regularly secreting special hormones into the body's lower glandular system.

In more spiritual terms, to regularly include the seventh Chakra in our kundalini balancing meditations is to welcome the universal Holy Spirit to flow downward into our physical and energetic bodies, and to flood our lives with the ultimate healing and inspirational power of the universe."       
                                                                           

"Sahasrara-cakra (thousand-spoked wheel), which is located at the crown of the head, is also known as the "brahmic fissure" (brahma-randhra) because at the moment of liberation, while still embodied, consciousness leaves the body through this exit point to merge with the Absolute (brahman). This psychoenergetic center is a luminous structure composed of a seemingly endless number of filaments that extend from the head upward to infinity. It corresponds to the level of ultimate Reality on the one hand and to the brain on the other. Symbolically, it is the peak of Mount Meru (corresponding to the spinal column), which is Shiva's divine seat. The Tantric practitioners aim at reuniting the Goddess Power (Shakti) with Shiva, thus bringing about the enlightened state overflowing with bliss. This unification, manifesting in ecstasy and ultimately enlightenment, depends on the arousal of the serpent power (kundalini-shakti) dormant in the lowest psychoenergetic center. In the ordinary person, the sahasrara-cakra is responsible for the higher mental functions, especially discernment (buddhi). In the yogin and yogini, its full potential manifests in the form of mystical experience and illumination."       
                                                                           

"The seventh chakra is called sahasrana in Sanskrit. It is most often described in the yogic texts as a thousand petaled lotus. Some texts locate the chakra at the crown of the head, while others declare it is located above the crown of the head in order to differentiate it from the other six. By awakening the anja center, a person has achieved wholeness through the process of sychospiritual integration. S/he has transcended fear, and experienced unconditional joy.

In tantra , the awakening of the crown chakra corresponds to the union of shakti (the feminine principle) with shiva (the male principle). This union, once formed, lasts forever. By achieving this state, a person goes beyond the confines of sequential time and finds themselves centered always in the unchanging eternal present. S/he goes beyond the state where s/he chooses self unconsciously at every moment to the state where self doesn't exist, where self becomes the entire universe which is contained within it. By being the universe, the person ceases to understand his universe because to understand is to cease to be. When the anja center is awakened, a person experiences reunion with the all and everything contained in the all. There is no return from this state. There is no death when this state is achieved. There is nothing but emptiness, and in emptiness one finds himself in the all, the universal field of energy and consciousness. The crown chakra corresponds to the pineal gland which glows with a violet color when awakened and therefore corresponds to the highest level of spiritual perfection. Like the other chakras, it is a channel for higher energies - in this case from the causal plane. However, unlike the others, when fully active it can reverse itself and then it radiates like a central sun creating energy and forming above the head of the individual a veritable crown of pure light and divine energy."       
                                                                           

"Fixing their minds on psychic centres such as the Sahasrara (the thousand petalled lotus Chakra), yogis remain any lengths of time without awareness of their bodies. As long as this state continues, they appear to be immersed in some kind of joy. But when the mind, which has become tranquil emerges and becomes active again it resumes its worldly thoughts. It is therefore necessary to train it with the help of practices like Dhyana (meditation) whenever it becomes externalised. It will then attain a state in which there is neither subsistence nor emergence."
                                                                           

"When the cosmic energy manifests itself as the life energy of living creatures, it is called kundalini energy or force. This force is the substance and cause of all energies of the mind and body. Vedanta does not regard mind and body as distinct entities. Both are manifested kundalini energy and the apparant diversity is just a question of degree of fineness. In its process of coarsening, the kundalini force makes no leaps. Consequently, there is no divisionline between mind and body - both are part of one continuous whole. Like everything else in the universe, the kundalini energy is constituted by the gunas and whatever goes on in the mind and body is owed to the interactions of these three forces. - In its purer forms, the kundalini force moves in a net of subtle channels (nadis) which resembles a finer counterpart of the net of nerves. The main channels are directly connected to the central nervous system and run from the top of the head, along the spinal cord to slightly above the perineum. Along these main channels are located seven centres (chakras) which serve as reservoirs for the kundalini energy. In its purer forms, the kundalini energy or force is too subtle to be detected and comprehended by any other means than the mind."       
                                                                           

"Humans are children of the cosmos. All our organs correspond to energies fluctuating in the cosmos. According ancient teachings subtle worlds of the cosmos create our individual bodies. Like the Universe, our energetic system consists of seven worlds, and has seven primary bodies (or auric layers) that interact with each other. These bodies consist of the energy of the corresponding universal worlds accordingly, deal with them, and receive the energetic information from them.

Besides the physical bodies, our individual energy system consist of ether, astral, mental, karmic, intuitive, nirvana, and absolute subtle energetic bodies, which form our aura - human energy field or bio-energy system. We call energetic bodies subtle because it is difficult to perceive them with our senses. Nevertheless, we can perceive them when specially trained and used bio-energy methods and techniques.

All subtle bodies in a human energy system communicate with each other, and with the physical body, through the energetic "transformers"- chakras. Chakras transform cosmic universal life-support energies into human energy systems. In Sanskrit, the chakra is a wheel of life. Indian tradition considers invisible chakras as centers of consciousness. All humans have chakras whether we aware of them or not. Chakras are, in fact, centers of different levels of consciousness, ranging from almost bodily to highly spiritual. . . .

The seventh chakra is Sahasrara (the Crown Chakra). It is located on the top of the head. The color is white. It is linked to Absolute body (the conclusion of the development of all seven bodies of a cosmic organism). Sahasrara chakra is a center of psychic energy, and the only chakra that follows its subtle body Absolute in cosmic spheres after death. It is the center of psychic energy of the human organism. Through Sahasrara chakra, we connect to the "Divine Center"."
